Every little bit helps. I am sitting in the doctor’s office with Grant at 4:15 pm. He’s getting a checkup.
When we are done, I have to run him home and then go to two appointments. One is for a cleanup and mulch, the other for a paver patio. After those two calls, I will go watch my youngest daughter play soccer at 7:45.
So the question may be: why do all this? Why not just cancel the appointments or have one of my other sales people do them? Well, for starters, it’s spring and we are very busy and it’s pretty much all hands on deck. Secondly, every little bit counts.
If I can sell these two jobs tonight, that’s that much closer we will be to hitting our sales goal for the year. When you have a big goal like we do at Grunder Landscaping Co., you have to hit a bunch of singles and doubles on the way to the win. So every little bit helps!
As long as you are meeting with prospects that fit the profile of an ideal client, big and small, all the jobs are progress towards that goal. After all, as you have heard, I am sure, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Focus on those goals and just keep moving forward. Some days you will make big time progress; other days you will move forward just a little bit. And as long as you are moving forward, you will win!
And, oh yeah, Grant’s checkup went great. He got several shots and they drew blood. Dad did the same thing the next day. I have a lot I want to accomplish and I need to be healthy to do so. When was the last time you had a checkup? Maybe this e-mail will prompt you to do so. Thankfully, my doctor also said I’m doing great! There’s a lot we have to be thankful for and a lot we all need to work on!
