Santa Claus is coming to town!
With the holidays upon us, now is the time to reflect on the year gone by and ponder the upcoming year. If you use December effectively, you can use it to put a plan in place to make 2017 way better than it could be otherwise. Planning means taking some time to yourself and thinking about what you want out of your business.
If I were you, I would take out a journal, go somewhere quiet, and answer the following questions:
Do we need to re-align our Vision, Mission, and Core Values?
What do I think sales can be in 2017? Be realistic.
What can profits be in 2017? Be realistic.
Who is capable of doing more at our company in 2017?
What are the investments we are going to make in our company in 2017?
What risks are we going to take in 2017?
Who are some new clients we want? Where are they? How can we meet them?
How can we make our brand more consistent in 2017?
What are our marketing efforts going to consist of? How much are we going to spend?
I could go on for days. Here’s the deal and you have heard me say this many times—ALL PLANNING IS GOOD! The mere act of sitting down in a quiet place and thinking about your future is the best use of your time.
Don’t let December slip away; don’t get in a rut; now is the time to work hard, get focused and put a plan in place to make 2017 GREAT, not just good.
