Push it down….push it down. Last week, we had a great group in here for a Field Trip (no more this year; come next year; we’ll be posting the dates on the web site shortly).
Field Trip Attendees visit one of Grunder Landscaping’s job sites at lunch time.
The group learned a ton and had fun too!
I taught these 14 landscapers the concept of “pushing things down.” What I mean by this is for the leader of the organization to be delegating things to others. For one, if you keep doing everything yourself, you’re never going to get to do the things that matter most. Owners and CEOs of landscaping companies need to be selling and organizing and planning, not driving the trucks, running equipment, and going to the bank and post office.
So, this week take an assessment of what you are doing and find one thing that you know someone else could do almost as effectively as you can and let them do it. Use that time to sell, organize, and plan. And then next week take another thing off your list. Push it Down…..Push it Down.
The first webinar is coming up this Tuesday, September 25, at 4 pm, Eastern time. The subject for this webinar is Sales Strategies for Landscapers. There is still time for you to sign up. You won’t want to miss this webinar (or the others in the schedule as well). Check the web site for the entire schedule of the 2012 webinar series.
